House of Pomo is an ongoing design project by artist Todd Gronsdahl and ceramicist Megan Macdonald. Framed as a reconstructed archive of the House of Post-Modern Design, the work operates within a fictionalized history—using objects, lighting, and environments to blur the line between artifact and invention.
This approach builds on Gronsdahl’s broader practice, including projects such as the Saskatchewan Maritime Museum, where narrative and fabrication are used as tools for contemporary art-making.
All works are designed and built in Canada by Todd Gronsdahl and Megan MacDonald, and produced in limited quantities through MT Workshop in Riversdale, Saskatoon.
Prior to this, Gronsdahl and MacDonald developed a number of hospitality projects, including Sushiro (2000–2018) and Duck Duck Goose (2011–2017), each rooted in a similar interest in atmosphere, storytelling, and constructed experience.
House of Pomo extends this trajectory—presenting functional objects as part of a larger, evolving fiction.
