The story
The Creature Spacecraft light by Megan Macdonald trades animated feet for a tapered ceramic cone base — a form that perhaps recalls the thruster nozzle of a retro-futurist spacecraft. Hand built and wheel thrown, the amphibious-looking diffuser brings a sense of personality and quiet humour to the piece. Somewhere between modern lighting object and strange little lifeform, the lamp feels poised for departure.
